These vehicles will compete in a road rally from Berkeley, CA to the Mexican Border. No vehicle may use any petroleum based fuels and all fuel must be scavenged along the route. In this event, gasifiers will compete against bicycles, veggie oil vehicles and solar cars.

| Celebratory Dinner Sponsor The night before the race we open the doors to our workshop and host a feast extraordinaire, celebrating the energy innovators of our time. Last year’s dinner held in honor of James Watt, the inventor of the Steam Engine, was a huge success. This year’s dinner will be held in honor of Jacques Imbert, inventor of the Imbert Gasifier. Over 90 people came last year to enjoy the culinary delights, meet the racers, and marvel at their vehicular inventiveness.
